1968 prices and options: list price:

This was the very first price list, issued when the Limousine was introduced on the market. It is printed in B&W, and has no publication number.
According to Brian Long's book Daimler and Lanchester (pg. 293) this price list dates from August 1968.

Note the fact that wing mirrors are listed as optional. In those days it was common practice in the car trade that mirrors were fitted by the dealer. Front seat belts are also shown as optional, although the press release with the introduction in June (pg. 3) lists them as standard.

Well, actually the above one was not the very first price list for the DS420. That honour goes to the leaflet shown here below.

November brought the first price increase, caused by an increase in purchase tax. The basic price of the car did not change. Daimler sent the following note to its dealers:
