Daimler DS420 sales brochures 1984-1985

  logo (1.7kB)

This page shows sales brochures from 1984 and 1985 by Jaguar/Daimler from my own collection. The brochures are in chronological order, although not all publication dates are known exactly. I have left out brochures where the limo plays a minor role only, e.g. with one single picture somewhere at the bottom of a page...

The brochures are presented with a medium size picture of its front page, plus small pictures of the other pages. Blank pages are not shown.
Most pictures are available upon request in medium or in large size. Clicking on the front page picture shows it in large size. On most smaller pictures you have two choices: click on the left half for a medium size picture, and click on the right half for a large size picture. Large pictures are not available if they would get over 1024 pixels high or wide, given the standard resolutions that I use on this page: small 7 pixels/cm, medium 20 pixels/cm, large 34.5 pixels/cm, where the measure in cm. is taken from the original brochure.

Beware: the large pictures are large! in the hope that even small print becomes readable. They are not suitable for low resolution displays.

The illustration of the blue limousine in the colonade (page 4) was used in many sales publications at that time. Not only in this leaflet, but also in sales brochures D/UK/84/101 and J/UK/85/013 (both shown below). Elsewhere on this web site we even have a wall poster with this illustration.

Note that this limo has a front bumper without any overriders: no chrome ones, no rubber blocks. This probably was not "the real thing".

This single leaflet brochure was printed for the 1984 Executive Limousine, a.k.a. "the office car". This web site has an entire page devoted to that specially equipped car.

The brochure is without doubt the rarest one in my collection. I had been collecting for 10 years before I even found out that it existed.

This brochure introduces the change from the bench in the front compartment to two individual seats. But the picture with the dashboard still shows the single bench (and the gearshift handle located in the centre).

This brochure has pages 5 - 14 devoted exclusively to the Daimler models 4.2 and Double Six. Those pages are not shown here to save space. The full brochure can be seen here
