A scammer on eBay offers, among many other vehicles,
these DS420 limousines for sale.
eBay tries to remove his pages as soon as they are posted,
but cannot avoid them being shown for a few hours each time.
Obviously, they are not able to stop this in a structural way,
so the scam keeps popping up over and over again. Be warned!
I have collected a very large number of screenshots of those DS420 offers. Many images below come in triplets: (1) the main page for the car offered, (2) the 'See other items' page, and (3) the page with the photo with the contact details. Most recent pages (per model) are at the front.
First thing to notice is how the scammer manages to hijack a different eBay-seller's identity each time. But also note how he gives directions that contacts should bypass the ordinary eBay sales channel from buyer to seller, and requires a different way of contacting him. He even "hides" his contact details in an image, to avoid being spotted by eBays automatic text censuring tools. This is obviously done because eBay would be able to block the sale (and the payment) if done via the normal way. A side effect of this is that the buyer will not benefit from eBay's purchase protection program.
Even the email address in the image with the contact information varies.
Another thing to notice is how most hacked seller's accounts have a relatively low feedback score (the number shown behind the seller's name). But the scammer then offers between 1500 and 2000 items, as can be seen on the 2nd page of each triplet. This is of course a very suspicious difference in numbers.
The pages shown here are collected in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Note that this are screenshots; the "live" eBay pages only lived short. The white limo has been the most active version lately.
