Battery tray. Curled up under the tray is the drain hose for the water collector bin which is above the hinges of the front door. Note how the hose bends downward into a very hard to reach space between the wheel well and the front door, just above the front jacking point. The water hose is supposed to exit via a hole in the bottom of the car, but the end of the hose disintegrates and creeps upward. So the water ends up in that area, which rusts away, taking the jacking point with it. This is a structurally weak point in the design of the car. Note that this problem is both left and right.
