The last paper based Parts Catalogue (RTC9877CD) was published in October 1985. It explicitly states that it only serves cars built from July 1980 onwards. This is when the GM400 gearbox was first fitted. After that publication, later Parts Catalogues were only published on microfiche. Both that last paper catalogue, and all subsequent catalogues on microfiche, explicitly referred to paper catalogue RTC9183B (July 1978) and, alternatively, to microfiche set RTC9877FG (July 1985)(i.e. the one shown here) for the older cars. Paper catalogue RTC9183B has been on this site almost from the very start, but I decided that a scanned version of the fiche set RTC9877FG would be a useful addition as well since the two are dated so many years apart. Note that there have been two microfiche sets with the same part RTC9877FG number: November 1980 (not shown on this site) and July 1985. The latter is shown here.

In summary: this parts catalogue was published to serve the older models of the car. Rule of thumb: for cars with a Borg Warner gearbox (BW8 and BW12).

The microfiche editions started in January 1979, The first one had part number RTC9877FA. These microfiches were updated a few times per year and labeled RTC9877FA, RTC9877FB, RTC9877FC etc. In 1981 the prefix of the label changed from RTC9877 to RTC9887, again with a two letter suffix (three letter suffix from July 1987) to distinguish the subsequent editions. Most editions consist of two fiches, where one fiche holds up to 504 page images. The forelast one in my collection (not shown on this website) has part number RTC9887FAF and dates from February 1990. The last one, RTC9887FAG, was published in August 2000; it is here on this website. For a list of microfiche publication numbers and dates: click here.

The list of chapter names and numbers (below) is very coarse. But the fiches contain a much more detailed list of topics; see it here: List of topics, alphabetical: 12 pages
These topics refer to the first two characters of the chapter numbers (1C - 2M) in the following list.
Note that one drawing page possibly has multiple pages with parts listing. E.g. drawing page 2C09L has parts lists pages 2C09R plus 2C10R and 2C11R and 2C12R and 2C13R and 2C14R. All these parts lists pages are chained together via next/previous page clickpoints. So drawing page 2C09L is followed by drawing page 2C15L, because drawings 2C10L through 2C14L were copies of 2C09L and therefore they were eliminated.
