Two very early Woodall Nicholson hearses, currently (2024) both in Switzerland. They were imported there by Georg Dönni, who is very well known in the Swiss classic Jaguar scene. Georg still owns car XJF701J, chassis 1M1643H. Manufacturing date was July 13th 1970, and it was bought by the Leicester Cooperative Society. Hearse LAY574P is owned by one of Georg's friends. The rectangular insignia on the round air vents under its headlights show that this car is a few years younger than the other one. The quality of this very old photo really does not do justice to the cars: the reflection of the overriders of the front bumper in the black surface behind them proves that these cars shine as mirrors.
