A hearse chassis at VandenPlas in London. Note the reinforcement bar in the rear door opening. The chrome surround of the last side window of the limousine body on the left shows that this is a wind-down window, so the photo is from the 1968-summer 1972 period at Vanden Plas. The position of the keyhole on that limousine body also shows that this is an early photo (pre 1974).
Nigel Thorley shows this photo on page 142 of his book "Jaguar - Mark VII to 420G" with a caption stating that this photo was taken at Browns Lane after the move from VandenPlas Kingsbury/London. That caption is clearly wrong.
