Centre top of firewall in engine bay. Rusty panel being cut out. Just above that cut is the slit which is under the ventilation flap in front of the windscreen. The round hole in that slit gives room to the handle that opens/closes the flap. The vacuum unit controlling that handle is behind the 4 gauges in the centre part of the dashboard.
