Top of firewall seen from driver's compartment. The top of the photo is the front windscreen. The mechanism just above the centre of the photo is the mounting base of the right screen wiper. The horizontal rod coming in from the left is connected to the other wiper's base (outside the photo), and even further is the wiper motor. The mounting bracket in the bottom centre of the photo holds the dashboard; this is the dividing line between the right part of the dashboard and the centre part. The oval hole to the right receives hot air from the heater unit (on the other side of the firewall). a funnel-shaped duct is screwed onto that opening which ends in the demisting slits on top of the dashboard.
