Two new pieces added here: the inner side of the sill has been repaired with a panel bending to the top and to the right. But more of interest is the shiny black part to the left of it, connecting to the beam above the radius arm (covering the patched hole that we saw on earlier pictures). That new part, of a very complicated shape, plays an important role as the structural connection between the sill and the transversal beam under the rear bench. It also serves an important role in spreading the forces from the jacking point upward.
I was lucky to find two of these parts: they had been laying for decades as new old stock in Ben Kolvenbach's warehouse. Actually, they were even older than my limo because they were stored as MK-X parts.
