Left side: same place as previous picture, but looking more in forward direction. You realise that there are five layers of metal between the inside and the outside: the outer panel (here removed), the inner layer that holds the drainage pipe (it also holds the upholstery above the arm rest of the rear bench), the vertical reinforcement, the rectangular reinforcement tube (with round hole) attached to that vertical thing, and eventually the round inner sill surface.
