The production of the light over dark gray landaulette, and the black over yellow ones, was started by Richard Briggs -the owner of MiniMarque43- just before his sudden death in July 2002. The black landaulette is from a later series.

The black over yellow version is the only one that I have seen with the hood closed; all others are -as far as I know- only available with the hood open. Later versions of the black over yellow landaulette with open hood don't have the third side window and have a dark red (instead of grey) interior.

These models were all made by SMTS in Hastings. They kept the moulds after MiniMarque43 stopped doing business. Later, they ran a few small series under their own management. The black landaulette is one of those. An entirely yellow landaulette was also produced this way. That one is not in my collection; the small photos (below) appeared on eBay around 2004.
