In the centre of the small round air-grilles under the headlamps, these early cars had little round D-insignia glued on. Actually, that was the only place on the entire outside of the car where the name 'Daimler' was written in full.

Later cars had rectangular BMC logo shields, until the round grille was replaced by a rectangular one in the fall of 1979. These D-insignia often get lost. John Nash (eBay seller Landcruiser102) sells new ones that he had remade.
