Note how the collection of warning lights is now neatly clustered together (below the clock): ignition warning, fog lamp, headlamp main beam, brake fluid level & handbrake, alarm (and one unused). This was done for the 1987 model year. And dating from late 1988: the new steering column with the modernized flat cowl around it. The car pictured here is from 1989 or later.
