The personalised registration number of the car shown with the Chief Scout is '1PMG'. This abbreviation is for Patrick Motors Group. They owned, among others, the Reeve and Stedeford garage, which was the Jaguar and Daimler distributor in Birmingham. So in good scouting tradition somebody "organised" the showroom demonstrator car from the local dealer to give the visiting VIP Chief Scout a fitting welcome. The car has the wide chrome side line: 1968-1971.
